Peripheral 'Save Pingu' ideas.

You cant advertise things to children in the same way as adults. It would be largely useless to have a billboard or a tube poster aimed at a child. The positioning of this project is key for its success. If the episode serves to drive educate/entertain the kids, and ultimately drive them onto the website to further that. Then everything else has to embellish and underpin the idea as a whole. Its no good to just make a save pingu toy that 'does' nothing, it says in our brief that we have to entertain AND educate. So all our ideas have to follow that.
Take this bob the builder toy:

It dosnt actually teach the child much, but its very fun. It wouldn't tick both of our boxes.

Here are a few example of things that would.

We could have an iceberg popsicle, something every kid enjoys, but could both be a visual metaphor for what's happening to real icebergs in Pingu's environment, but also have messages printed on the stick that educates, so they get entertainment/enjoyment from the treat of a lolly, but its informative too.

We could have a save Pingu wallpaper, thats not a new idea, but the whole thing could be a storyboard for whats happening to him and how they can help, with colourful facts and figures.

We could create a pingu advernture game, with all the missions directed at saving the environment and rebuilding his world. He has to fight to save his world and regain a save habitat for his family, in a fun way.
